The Texas Safety University app is provided by the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault to provide students, faculty, staff and others at member Texas Colleges and Universities with customized contact information to quickly connect to help and assistance when faced with sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence or stalking.

The raw crime statistics displayed through Texas Safety University come from data that TAASA member Colleges and Universities submit to the US Department of Education, and they are collected in accordance with the federal law known as the Clery Act. The apps methodology for displaying the information provides depth, dimension and ease of understanding to the data.
